MERZ: EUROPE READY FOR PEACE TALKS WITH MOSCOW

BERLIN, JUNE 17 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ – Europe is ready for negotiations with Russia on a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz statwd.

"We are ready for peace negotiations," Merz said at the press conference held on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France.

Speaking about potential participants in future talks, Merz said Europe should take part in negotiations alongside the United States.

"This has always been our position. We have said that Ukraine and Russia, as well as Europe and the United States, should sit at the negotiating table, and today this was not a point of disagreement in any way," Merz said.

At the same time, he stressed that Europe intends to continue increasing military and financial support for Kyiv.
