The Republika Srpska News Agency – SRNA was founded on the 7th of April 1992 as the Serbian News Agency. The agency got its current name by the decision of the Government of Republika Srpska on March 27, 2008.

To the users of its services, SRNA provides a complete and fast reporting. Its news and other journalist content are based on the reliable sources and in line with professional standards of modern reporting in terms of content and technicality.

SRNA has 12 informational services that follow events in Republika Srpska, Federation of BiH /FBiH/, Serbia, Montenegro, region and world. It has a special service with authors’ texts and the English service.

Apart from the texts, SRNA also has contemporarily organized photo and audio service, and the video service was launched in 2016. These three services are complementing the Agency’s journalistic forms and they represent a specific whole that in technical sense provides complete information to the users of various media profiles.

In its service, SRNA provides its users with the agency version of the news from all areas of life – concise, fast and precise, followed by the history of events.

In its reviews, interviews and reports, adhering to the agency form, SRNA also deals with all areas of life, treating them from the author’s angle.

In accordance with the needs of the service and the public to whom the information is intended, the Agency has the strongest correspondent network in the Republika Srpska, among which the following stand out in particular: correspondent offices in Banja Luka, East Sarajevo and FBiH, as well as correspondents in Serbia and Montenegro.

SRNA’s information is regularly used by the leading media in Republic of Srpska, FBiH, Serbia, region and world, as well as diplomatic representative offices and institutions from all spheres of life and public work.

SRNA publishes more than 250 titles in various journalistic forms.

It is one of the co-founders of The Association of the Balkan News Agencies – Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE).

The headquarter of SRNA is in Bijeljina.
