PESKOV: ATTACKS ON CIVILIAN TARGETS ARE A DESPERATE MOVE BY KYIV

MOSCOW, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ - Ukraine’s attacks on Russian civilian and energy infrastructure, including the attack on St. Petersburg, are desperate attempts by Kyiv to change the course of the conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Peskov described the attack as the latest manifestation of Ukraine’s agony, adding that Kyiv’s actions could not change the course of history.

The Russian Defense Ministry said earlier that air defense forces had destroyed 1,015 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions overnight.

St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov said that one person had been killed and five injured in Ukrainian attacks last night.

The attacks also damaged more than 10 residential buildings and sparked a fire at a local oil terminal.
