WASHINGTON, MAY 27 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Pentagon made a list of additional targets in Iran, in case US President Donald Trump decides to continue the attacks, NBC News reported, citing American officials and national security experts.
The sources said that the list includes fortified locations that require significant effort to locate and execute attacks due to their hidden locations and high level of protection.
"The Pentagon suggestions, however, do not indicate uncertain attacks. Any attack on listed targets will depend on Trump's political decisions, as well as on the results of negotiations with Iran," the sources added.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said earlier that there are good chances for Washington and Tehran to conclude a temporary agreement on the nuclear issue.
The framework agreement between Iran and the US, proposed by the US president, foresees Tehran giving up its stockpiles of enriched uranium.
Yesterday, Trump said that the agreement with Tehran would be "a good and proper one," or there will be no deal at all.
