ST. PETERSBURG, OCTOBER 21 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – Russia can supply natural gas to the EU through one line of the Nord Stream pipeline if Europeans wish to receive it, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.
He emphasized that one of the pipeline's four lines remains operational.
"One of the four lines is functioning. If European consumers, countries, and politicians want it, gas can be supplied through that line," Novak said.
According to him, the resumption of Russian gas exports to Europe depends primarily on Germany, given that the operational pipeline line runs through German territory.
"The other three lines can technically be repaired if necessary," Novak noted.
