MOSCOW WILL NOT FORGET VANDALISM OF SOVIET SOLDIERS' GRAVES

MOSCOW, JULY 10 /SRNA/ – Russia will neither forget nor cover up the desecration of Soviet soldiers' graves in the Netherlands, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed.

"For years, you have systematically undermined respect for historical memory. Today's desecration of military graves is a direct consequence of that policy. This is your area of responsibility," Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

Earlier today, Remco Reiding, director of the Soviet Field of Glory Foundation, told RIA Novosti that unidentified individuals had desecrated the graves of Soviet soldiers at a memorial complex near Leusden in the Netherlands.

According to Reiding, police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Later, Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgoz-Zegerius said such acts of vandalism were unacceptable.
