BROTHERLY CONGRATULATIONS TO UNITED RUSSIA, MEDVEDEV AND PUTIN ON ELECTION RESULT

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 21 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik extended sincere and brotherly congratulations to United Russia and its president, Dmitry Medvedev, on the election result, as well as to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Serbs and Russians are connected not only by politics and diplomacy, but by centuries of shared history, faith, culture and a sense of brotherhood that have survived even the most difficult times. That is why every new meeting and every step that contributes to strengthening our ties is viewed with particular attention and emotion,” Dodik said.

He wished the Russian people peace, strength and prosperity, and President Putin, President Dmitry Medvedev and the Russian leadership much success, good health and personal happiness, expressing his hope that our friendship would grow even stronger in the years to come.

“May the friendship between the Serbian and Russian peoples remain strong, sincere and enduring,” Dodik wrote on X.

The United Russia party won a record number of seats in the Russian State Duma, the Central Election Commission of Russia said today.

According to the latest vote count, United Russia won 57.97 percent of the vote on party lists and prevailed in 208 of the 225 single-member constituencies.
