TRUCKS CARRYING VIDEO BILLBOARDS DRIVE THROUGH NEW YORK SHOWING LIVES OF SERBS IN KOSOVO AND METOHIJA

NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 21 /SRNA/ - The lives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and the difficult conditions in which they live are being shown on video screens mounted on trucks driving through the streets of New York during the annual session of the UN General Assembly.

The trucks show footage from March 2004 during the March Pogrom, as well as footage of Serbian boy Stefan Stojanović being injured in Gotovuša after Azem Kurtaj shot him on Christmas Eve in 2023.

Footage is also being shown of protests by Serbian doctors in the southern province in May and June this year, the arbitrary arrests of some Serbs, as well as messages of support for US President Donald Trump in Belgrade.

The trucks displaying footage of the lives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija have so far driven through New York’s main streets, as well as its central square, Times Square.

The initiative was launched today by the Serbian Diaspora in the United States to draw the attention of numerous world leaders to the lives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija during the debate.

“I would like to point out that this is not a political initiative, but a humanitarian initiative and, above all, an act of patriotism,” Aleks Mitrović, speaking on behalf of the Diaspora, told Tanjug.
