LUKASHENKO: MINSK HAS NO INTENTION OF JOINING WAR IN UKRAINE

MINSK, MAY 21 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ - Belarus has no intention of becoming involved in Ukraine conflict, as there is neither a civilian nor a military need for it, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said while commenting on earlier speculations by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“When it comes to his statements /Zelenskyy’s/ that Belarus will be drawn into the war, I said that this would happen only in one case - if aggression is carried out against our territory,” Lukashenko added.

Zelenskyy had earlier claimed that Russia was planning to launch attacks on Ukraine or a NATO member state from Belarusian territory.
