DODIK: VISIT TO AMERICA WILL BE SUCCESSFUL FOR SRPSKA; BOSNIAKS SHOULD UNDERSTAND INTERNATIONAL CONCEPT HAS CHANGED

BIJELJINA, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik told SRNA that he expects his trip to the United States to be successful and the best possible outcome for Republika Srpska, telling Bosniaks, who are seeking to downplay the visit, to focus on their own problems, define their position, and finally understand that the international concept has changed.

Dodik says he is travelling to America to attend a gathering dedicated to discussing political actions to be undertaken over the next two years, with the aim of ensuring continued progress and cooperation among all sovereigntist forces around the world, led by the policies of US President Donald Trump.

In a telephone statement to SRNA, he says he has received an invitation earlier, that security checks has been completed, and that he now has the opportunity to attend this important gathering, where he will present Republika Srpska and what it represents today in the best possible light.

Dodik stresses it will be an honour for him to meet with US congressmen and many prominent figures from US politics, as well as businesspeople aligned with the MAGA movement, which will be a good opportunity to present Republika Srpska.

He noted that many people, particularly in Sarajevo, are trying to downplay the visit; however, it is worth noting that no Bosniak representatives will be there, which frustrates them, prompting sarcastic remarks over the past two or three days.

"They are not there where I am going. They are not at Mar-a-Lago, they are not in Miami, and they will not be there. There will once again be some spiteful comments, nothing more," Dodik said.

According to him, Muslims who later became known as Bosniaks must understand that the international context has changed and that they are waiting in vain for Trump's term in office to end.

"However, many things will have been settled by then. In this regard, they should prepare for a final discussion with the Croats and us, so that we can work out something that will primarily preserve peace in BiH and enable the country to function peacefully while resolving its problems," Dodik said.
