MOSCOW, JULY 20 /SRNA/ - Ukraine attacked Moscow with 400 drones, injuring two people and setting several facilities on fire, Russian officials said.
Most of the drones were neutralized by long-range air defense systems, including 85 that were destroyed while approaching the Russian capital.
"Air defense forces and electronic warfare systems repelled a drone attack on the Moscow region overnight. The main strikes were recorded in Podolsk, Domodedovo and the Odintsovo district," Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov wrote on Telegram.
Vorobyov added that two people were injured and that several civilian infrastructure facilities were set on fire and damaged.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that more than 400 enemy drones were launched at the Moscow region between 8:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that air defense systems shot down 381 Ukrainian drones overnight over Russian regions and the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
