MEMBERS OF ITALIAN ARMED FORCES AND MILITARY RED CROSS KILLED

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ – Two members of the Italian Armed Forces and two members of the Italian Military Red Cross were killed in the crash of an Italian helicopter near Brčko, while 11 people were injured, EUFOR announced.

“Two of the injured were transferred to a medical facility in Tuzla for further treatment, while nine are receiving treatment in Brčko. All those injured in this incident are currently in stable condition,” the statement said.

EUFOR urged the public, given the tragic nature of the accident, to avoid spreading disinformation about the incident, refrain from speculation and rely exclusively on EUFOR’s official channels for verified information.

“EUFOR expresses its gratitude to all media outlets for the compassion and respect they have shown in their reporting on this incident,” the statement added.

EUFOR stressed that it was deeply saddened by this tragic loss of lives and extended its sincerest condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of the soldiers who lost their lives while serving the cause of peace.
