KUWAIT AND BAHRAIN TARGETED IN NEW IRANIAN MISSILE ATTACKS

KUWAIT CITY, JULY 20 /SRNA/ - Iran launched new attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain in the afternoon hours, prompting the activation of air defense systems, military and civilian authorities in the two countries said.

The Kuwaiti Army said on "X" that all explosions heard were the result of missiles being intercepted. There have been no reports of casualties or damage so far.

Air raid sirens sounded again in neighbouring Bahrain, where the Ministry of Interior called on residents to move to safe locations.

The attacks came as the United States continues strikes on targets in Iran, DPA news agency reported.

Kuwait and Bahrain, key US allies in the Persian Gulf that host American military bases, had also been targeted by attacks from Iran earlier in the day.
