CHIEF ENGINEER OF THE ZAPORIZHZHIA NUCLEAR POWER PLANT KILLED IN UKRAINIAN ATTACK

MOSCOW, JULY 15 /SRNA/ - The chief engineer at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was killed in a Ukrainian drone attack near the facility, according to Alexey Likhachev, head of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom.

Likhachev said that a Ukrainian drone struck a service vehicle between the plant site and the town of Enerhodar, killing engineer Alexander Yakovlev and the driver.

The Kremlin last week accused Ukraine of carrying out terrorist acts against the plant.
