311 KILOGRAMS OF COCAINE SEIZED, PACKAGES BEARING ZELENSKY'S IMAGE

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ - Officers of Russia's Federal Security Service /FSB/ arrested an organizer of a drug shipment from South America to EU countries, seizing 311 kilograms of cocaine whose packaging bore an image of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the FSB press service said.

"The FSB has thwarted the illegal activities of a Russian citizen born in 2001, who was involved in organizing an international channel for smuggling large quantities of cocaine from South America to EU countries for its further illegal distribution," the statement said.

According to the press service, FSB officers caught the suspect red-handed in the Moscow Region while he was transporting the drug shipment, seizing a total of 311.6 kilograms of cocaine, TASS reported.

"Twelve bags were found in his possession, each containing 25 packages of drugs. Interestingly, the cocaine packages bore a photograph of a smiling Vladimir Zelensky," the FSB said, releasing a video of the drug trafficker's arrest.

The statement added that the security services had received information about a Russian citizen who was an active member of an organized criminal group specializing in the distribution of large quantities of drugs without direct contact, through illegal online resources.
