DODIK: VUČIĆ EXPOSED DOUBLE STANDARDS OF THOSE WHO HAVE UNDERMINED INTERNATIONAL LAW

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's speech before the United Nations General Assembly was a courageous and in-depth analysis of international relations and the current state of the world.

"After preventing an attempt before this body to declare the entire Serb people guilty, last night he exposed before the world all the double standards, hypocrisy and weakness of policies that for decades undermined the international order through the use of force - but only for as long as that force worked exclusively in their favor," Dodik stated.

He noted that many world leaders had not had the courage to take such a comprehensive approach.

"Those policies from the West undermined every agreement they themselves signed, the Dayton Agreement, the Brussels Agreement and Resolution 1244. They violated them all. In doing so, they directly undermined international law - not us, but those who today lecture others about the rule of law. Serbia is a signatory to the Dayton Agreement, and everything it stands for also concerns us," Dodik added.

He said Vučić was right in saying that US President Donald Trump represented a major opportunity for the world.

"We who have experienced injustice ourselves know why - because his work offers an opportunity to establish a fairer order. An order in which small nations are not merely objects of someone else's will, and in which major powers do not interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign states or engage in ethnic, political and social experiments," Dodik said.

According to Dodik, the Serb people have friends in both the East and the West, not because they are anyone's puppet, but because they respect themselves and refuse to be used as a tool by one side against another.

"We build friendships everywhere. We seek hostility nowhere. By looking after ourselves, we have survived here for a thousand years. And united under our flag, we move forward. Stronger than ever before," Dodik posted on X.
