BANJA LUKA, JULY 18 /SRNA/ - Božica Živković-Rajilić, President of the Association of Women Victims of War of Republika Srpska, stated that the war in BiH continued the fascist policies of the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ and its collaborators, with the aim of killing Serbs and erasing everything Serb.
On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance for the Murdered and Perished Children of the NDH, which will be marked tomorrow in the hamlet of Macure, in the Prijedor settlement of Gornji Jelovac, Živković-Rajilić told SRNA that the fascist policies of the NDH era were revived, modernized, and manifested in an even more aggressive form during the recent war.
She recalled that Muslim snipers killed Serb children in Serb Sarajevo during the war, stressing that they showed no regard for women, children, or the elderly.
"These are not the only cases of war crimes against Serb children. In our Association, we have members whose children were killed while they were with them, and there were also children killed while their mothers were pregnant," Živković-Rajilić emphasized.
She concluded that fascist ideology is once again gaining ground across Europe, and that the goal remains the extermination of Serbs in the Balkans, as evidenced by the wars of the past century.
The Day of Remembrance for the Murdered and Perished Children of the NDH will be marked tomorrow in the hamlet of Macure, in the Prijedor settlement of Gornji Jelovac.
A memorial service will be held at the ossuary at 6:00 p.m. for the children murdered under the NDH regime, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony and a spiritual program.
The commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for the Children Killed during the Genocide against Serbs, Jews, and Roma under the NDH regime from 1941 to 1945 is organized by the Government of Republika Srpska's Committee for Fostering the Traditions of Liberation Wars.
