BANJA LUKA, MAY 11 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska, as a signatory of Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement, together with the other signatories, will participate in the possible selection of whoever comes after Christian Schmidt, said SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik.
“When we submit a proposal, it will then be confirmed in the UN Security Council. We will demand that the term be limited to one or two years and that the ‘mess’ left by previous high representatives be cleaned up, thereby giving BiH another chance.
This, Dodik emphasized, would mean returning to the original Dayton framework and beginning to build mutual relations without internationals.
“If that does not happen, what do we need someone like that for?” Dodik said.
He assessed that Schmidt's resignation to the UN Security Council makes no sense, because that body never appointed him.
"To whom would he even submit it? It is obvious they are again planning some kind of nonsense," Dodik said.
He stated that Schmidt has been driven out and warned that he would face problems if he did not leave.
Dodik underlined that there is no OHR, but rather the Office of the High Representative.
"We have not had a high representative for three years. Therefore, there is no OHR office either. Everything they have done was illegal, contrary to international law, thus they should be held accountable," he said.
He added that records are being kept about them.
"We will not stop dealing with them," Dodik said, adding that Schmidt has destroyed BiH and interethnic relations.
