TRUTH ABOUT SERB SUFFERING TO BE PRESENTED INTERNATIONALLY NEXT YEAR

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ - The Republika Srpska Association of Women Victims of War plans to present internationally next year the truth about the atrocities suffered by its members, as well as by Serbs in this region, the association’s president, Božica Rajilić, said in Banja Luka today.

"We will seek to have doors opened abroad for us and the testimonies of our women, particularly in key international centers and major cities around the world. We will need the assistance of the Republic’s authorities and institutions in this regard," Rajilić told reporters.

Rajilić stressed that the struggle for the truth is difficult and that Serb victims have much to say in order to dispel the false narratives that have portrayed Serbs as alleged perpetrators of crimes.

Following the association’s regular assembly, at which its annual work was reviewed, she expressed gratitude for the support provided in every possible way by the institutions of Republika Srpska and Serbia.

Representatives of the Republic Center for Research on War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons said they had excellent cooperation with the association, which had, among other things, helped convey internationally the truth that Serb grandmothers, mothers, women and daughters also endured the most horrific torture and abuse during the war.

The regular assembly of the Association of Women Victims of War was held at the National Assembly building. Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons' Protection said they would continue to support the association's work, as its efforts deserved every form of attention.
