BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 8 /SRNA/ - The realisation that Serbs have been unfairly demonised opens up considerable opportunities to tell their story, and that of Republika Srpska, President Milorad Dodik said after attending the MAGA conference at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.

"We now have a basis on which to seek a full understanding of our position," Dodik told RTRS.

Dodik announced that a group of our senior officials would hold a meeting at the White House level this week to discuss what could be done in this regard. He said he would be briefed on the outcome and meet with them again when he travels to the United States in a few days.

He added that a senior-level friend had asked how we had survived, given that Serbs had been portrayed as the reincarnation of evil.

He noted that the world had changed significantly in many respects, not only with the arrival of Donald Trump, citing the respect for Russia, China's strength and the rising influence of the Islamic world.

Responding to comments that people in the United States did not even know who he was, Dodik said that what people in Sarajevo were saying was irrelevant.

He said he had a sense that the narrative towards Serbs had changed at every turn, but stressed that the enemy in Sarajevo was not resting, as they had even tried to discredit him by calling him a "fascist".

“The very fact that I was there and received an invitation shows their helplessness. A significant number of our people are there fighting, and with our assistance they can make deep inroads,” Dodik said.

He noted that US policy was not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries or to create other nations.
