BANJA LUKA, JULY 29 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, requested that competent institutions urgently verify all circumstances and determine the criteria under which it is possible for Elfeta Veseli, convicted of the monstrous murder of twelve-year-old Slobodan Stojanović, to walk freely around Ilidža and use privileges that practically resemble a vacation.

Minić emphasized that this information is disturbing.

"For such a cruel crime, she received a sentence that has already humiliated the Serbian victims. All additional privileges are just another picking at the open wound of my people," Minić posted on X.

Twelve-year-old Slobodan was killed in Kamenica near Zvornik when he returned for his dog after fleeing the village with his parents. His body was found on June 13, 1993, in a mass grave on Ždrijepci hill near Jošanica.

The mass grave was found and excavated by members of the Military Police from Milići, and the identification was carried out at the Fire Station in Zvornik.

According to the findings of pathologist Zoran Stanković, the child was cruelly murdered, his stomach was cut in the shape of a cross, and he had visible head injuries.

The body was identified by DNA analysis. After that, he was buried in Drinjača.

For the cruel murder of the boy, Elfeta Veseli was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the first-instance proceeding. The second-instance verdict, delivered in December 2019 by the Appellate Panel of the Court of BiH, increased the sentence to 13 years.
