PUTIN: WE ARE IN CONTACT WITH ELON MUSK, WHO IS A GENIUS

MOSCOW, OCTOBER 28 /SRNA/ – Russian President Vladimir Putin said that SpaceX owner Elon Musk is a genius and that Moscow is in close contact with him.

"Musk is a genius. We are in close contact with our American partners, including Musk," Putin said during the Russia–Africa summit in Moscow, where he discussed the Rassvet satellite internet connectivity project.

He stressed that it was important for Russia to remain in contact with Musk to ensure that the Starlink and Rassvet satellites did not interfere with each other’s operations in orbit.

Starlink has launched around 13,000 satellites, while Rassvet has several dozen satellites, the BBC reported.

Rassvet is Russia’s alternative to Starlink and represents only Moscow’s first step in this sector.
