BANJALUKA, JANUARY 28 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić has said that the Government will not allow Orthodox holy sites and Serb cemeteries to be registered as property of BiH.

Minić stressed that this represents a direct attack on the property, identity, and historical presence of the Serb people.

"Republika Srpska will respond institutionally and form an interdepartmental working group with the Ministry of Justice, the Attorney’s Office, the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs, and the Bar Association of Republika Srpska, in order to protect the rights of the Serbian Orthodox Church and our people in the Federation of BiH," Minić wrote on the social media platform X.

The Municipal Court in Mostar registered the Orthodox cemetery in the Vrapčići settlement as being owned by the "state," and subsequently did the same with a chapel and another Orthodox cemetery on a separate plot.

The Board for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH previously announced that the Mostar court carried out the registration of "state" ownership over property of the Serbian Orthodox Church during the harmonization of the land registry and cadastre for the Vrapčići cadastral municipality.
