STRASBOURG, APRIL 27 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić has stated today in Strasbourg that the largest ethnic cleansing during the past war and the post-war period was carried out in the FBiH and Sarajevo, where more than 160,000 Serbs were expelled from.

"Serbs are a statistical error in Sarajevo and the FBiH. A significant number of Bosniaks and Croats live in Banja Luka, not much smaller than before the war. There are no incidents or poor treatment towards them," Stevandić told SRNA.

He pointed out that some cities in the FBiH, such as Zenica, have been completely ethnically cleansed of Serbs.

"Few Serbs who remain in the FBiH are subjected to pressure. Muslims in Republika Srpska participate in public and social life and have their own communities with populations of up to 10,000, such as Janja and Kozarac," Stevandić added.

He recalled that Muslims did not face problems even when Islamist terrorists killed police officers in Zvornik.

"It is important that this is known and that we continuously point out that members of other peoples in Republika Srpska and Serbia do not face problems, which we are proud of," Stevandić said.

The Republika Srpska National Assembly delegation headed by Stevandić, will attend this evening in Strasbourg the opening of the exhibition "Jasenovac Concentration Camp: Remembrance and Legacy" at the European Parliament.
