WOMAN SENTENCED TO 47 YEARS IN PRISON FOR PIMPING OUT HER MINOR DAUGHTERS

ALMERIA, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA/ - The Provincial Court of Almería in Spain has sentenced a mother to 47 years in prison for pimping out her two minor daughters to unknown men for money when the girls were five and nine years old.

The sentence, which can be appealed, imposes an 18-year prison term for the offences of sexual exploitation and a further 29 years for her role as an accomplice in two sexual assault offences.

She is accused of exploiting her daughters between 2021 and 2022 by arranging meetings with various unidentified men for the purpose of having sexual relations with them.

The minors were subjected to such encounters on multiple occasions, sometimes even in groups, Spanish media reported.

The court found no evidence that the defendant’s then-boyfriend was in any way involved in the incidents or that he took part in any of the sexual encounters.

The court’s Third Section took into account the older girl’s testimony, as it was corroborated by other evidence, including reports from the pediatricians who treated the girls and testimony from their father’s partner, who reported the case in May 2023 after learning what had happened.

In addition to the prison sentence, the court stripped the woman of her parental rights and imposed a fine, which she is required to pay over a period of 30 months.

She was also placed under supervision for 10 years following her release from prison and banned from approaching or communicating with the victims for 35 years.

She is also required to pay each of them 60,000 euros in compensation.
