TRIŠIĆ BABIĆ: CVIJANOVIĆ - WILES MEETING A GREAT SUCCESS FOR SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA/ - The meeting in Washington between Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović and Susie Wiles, US President Donald Trump’s closest aide, is a major success for Republika Srpska at a time of unprecedented challenges, Acting Director of the Republika Srpska Office for International Cooperation Ana Trišić Babić said.

“This is a success at a turbulent and unprecedentedly challenging time in the world since the Second World War. This is a major success and recognition for Cvijanović, as well as recognition for the SNSD,” Trišić Babić told ATV.

She said this was a moment when Republika Srpska was asserting its position, noting that its leadership was simultaneously visiting Washington and Israel, and that a visit to the Russian Federation was also being prepared.

Trišić Babić reminded that all of Republika Srpska’s top officials were under sanctions at the same time last year, and that many had been hoping Republika Srpska would collapse and be brought to its knees, and that the SNSD, Milorad Dodik and Cvijanović would no longer exist.

“We proved them wrong through our work, perseverance and determination,” Trišić Babić said, thanking the people of Republika Srpska for believing in them.

Commenting on BiH Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović’s address to the UN General Assembly in New York, which he delivered without the consensus of the BiH Presidency, Trišić Babić said that such consensus has not existed within the Presidency for the past 20 years.

“That is why the leadership of Republika Srpska decided to speak out boldly that Srpska has the right to have a voice and to be heard,” Trišić Babić explained.

Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović met with Wiles at the White House in Washington yesterday to discuss the situation in BiH and the region.
