BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 9 /SRNA/ - SNSD is the winning party because it has the trust of the voters, to whom this party is infinitely grateful, because it depends on them what kind of Republika Srpska will be and with what strength and capacity it will be able to cope with the next challenges, said SNSD Vice-President Željka Cvijanović.

"These things that happened are not things that we just walked over. These things require serious intervention by the institutions of Republika Srpska in order to protect ourselves from any future manipulations, and we, as responsible people, will do it," Cvijanović said at the press conference in Banja Luka.

She pointed out that the early elections, conducted in November, were unnecessary, but the SNSD accepted them as a serious party, after which the SDS, in agreement with Sarajevo and Christian Schmidt, were the first to nominate the candidate.

Cvijanović reminded that the SNSD’s position was that elections were unnecessary, but that the will of the voters was demonstrated, and Republika Srpska has the elected president.

"We won that kind of elections as well. After that, we had to wait endlessly for the results to be announced, and for them to discuss how they would repeat some elections. Then they repeated those elections, so we reconfirmed the will of the voters, who are definitely on the side of the SNSD, and we wonder with what bad intentions they are dragging us through this whole procedure and we have entered the election year, where regular elections are held in October," said Cvijanović.

She believes that certain measures must be taken to show how responsible Republika Srpska is, but also to protect Srpska, which will be the mandate and mission of the SNSD and its coalition partners.

"To protect ourselves and Republika Srpska, to do everything in our power to resist and undo all these evils that have been produced in the past few years by the actions of an unelected foreigner," stated Cvijanović.

She believes that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ did not do its job professionally, and reminded that Schmidt extended the mandate of people who should have been retired according to the Constitution.

According to her, at the behest of the opposition, polling stations or voting where they had a complaint are canceled, while everything else remains uncovered.

She also expressed her doubt that SNSD might not have been robbed in some previous period.

"I am glad that the SNSD showed strength and that the citizens of Republika Srpska exercised their free will in the elections and chose the winner. We did not bully and go around, we took refuge from these elections and went to deal with regular affairs precisely to show who is the one who persistently contaminates the election process and that is what the opposition members did, harassing the citizens of Srpska," Cvijanović said.

Cvijanović thanked all the mayors and people who were in the election process and the police who showed a professional attitude, and showed that the opposition parties are manipulators who are messing with Schmidt and those in Sarajevo who wish evil to Srpska.
