NUMBER OF BURGLARIES UP BY 1,500 COMPARED TO LAST YEAR

PARIS, AUGUST 7 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – The number of burglaries in France in July this year was around 1,500 higher than in the same month last year, BFMTV reported, citing data from the Interior Ministry.

According to the broadcaster, police and gendarmerie recorded 1,519 more burglaries last month than in July 2025.

A total of 27,648 burglaries of residential and business premises were recorded last month, representing a 5.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The largest increase was recorded in residential burglaries. According to data from the French Interior Ministry, their number rose by 7.7 percent year-on-year, reaching a total of 18,665 cases.
