BELGRADE, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ – Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut appealed for General Ratko Mladić to be allowed to return to Serbia to continue living there under the supervision of Serbian doctors who would take care of him.

Macut stressed that Serbia is providing all guarantees for Mladić's stay so that he can continue to receive adequate treatment in the country, noting that this is not the first time Serbia has offered such guarantees.

"This is a humanitarian aspect of the fight for life, and it goes beyond the framework of the tribunal and sanctioning measures", Macut told SRNA.

Prime Minister Macut added that Vujić will be in the United Nations on June 12 for a regular session of the UN Security Council, where he will also speak on the matter.

"We hope that by then we will have an answer to this issue, as the general's life is at risk", Macut said.
