DODIK: SERBIA'S MILITARY HAS REACHED IMPRESSIVE LEVEL OF READINESS

SJENICA, SEPTEMBER 13 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik said today at the Pešter military training ground near Sjenica that the Serbian Armed Forces have continued to improve their combat readiness year after year.

"There is clear overall progress in Serbia, primarily economic progress, which has enabled the Serbian Armed Forces to modernize, strengthen their capabilities and serve as a guarantee of Serbia's security and defense, as well as the security of the Serbian people," Dodik said after the conclusion of the "Pobednik 2026" joint live-fire military exercise.

Dodik congratulated the Serbian Armed Forces on the impressive capabilities they demonstrated, saying that the Serbian people, and Serbia in particular, could be satisfied that this aspect of the development of the defense capabilities of the Serbian people and the Serbian state was at the highest possible level.

Around 2,000 members of the Serbian Armed Forces' Land Forces, Air Force and Air Defense, as well as special and military police units, took part in the "Pobednik 2026" exercise, which also involved more than 500 combat and support assets.

The exercise was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić, Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut, Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić, President Milorad Dodik, Republika Srpska Interior Minister Željko Budimir, Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Milan Mojsilović.

The exercise featured a large number of new and modernized systems operated by the Serbian Armed Forces, including the first public presentation of two advanced multiple rocket launchers, the "Vampir" and "Puls", as well as special forces equipped with robotic dogs.

The aim of the exercise was to demonstrate the readiness of Serbian Armed Forces personnel to effectively operate newly introduced and modernized combat systems, as well as their ability to conduct joint operations and coordinate the activities of all participating units.
