SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 22 /SRNA/ – The Head of the SNSD Club in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić has stated today that the party will, for principled reasons, support the Draft Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/ proposed by the Ministry of Justice within the Council of Ministers.
During the debate on the draft law, Vulić has stressed that the judiciary is taking it upon itself to humiliate members of parliament, citing as evidence the application of amendments to the Criminal Code that were neither adopted by the House of Representatives nor verified by the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
"The judiciary gives itself the right to humiliate and belittle us, while we are expected to pamper them and say they are gentlemen, that they are the judicial authority and we are of lesser value. We are on the same level, except that the time will come when they, too, will be held accountable. If anyone is corrupt and wealthy, then it is them," Vulić emphasized.
She agreed with PDP delegate Branislav Borenović that the Prosecutor's Office behaves arrogantly, stating that on December 9, in front of 20 people, a man approached her and said that she and everyone who follows the ideology of SNSD should be slaughtered.
"The duty prosecutor in Doboj said there were no elements of a criminal offense. A colleague in Banja Luka was threatened, and the person who made the threat received 30 days of detention. A prosecutor in Doboj cannot think differently than one in Banja Luka. This is a consequence of what Borenović spoke about, that they are arrogant and that they were installed by /former US Ambassador to BiH Michael/ Murphy and Christian Schmidt," Vulić concluded.
