NEW YORK, OCTOBER 30 /SRNA/ – Denmark's Deputy Ambassador to the UN, Sandra Jensen Landi, praised the successful conduct of the general elections in BiH, but stressed that further work on implementing the necessary reforms should build on that process.

Speaking at a UN Security Council session in New York, she said Denmark regretted the lack of sufficient progress by BiH on its path towards EU membership, noting that the conditions for opening accession negotiations with the European bloc had not yet been met.

Landi highlighted the lack of progress in implementing the 5+2 agenda.

She called on all leaders in BiH to seize the opportunity to achieve tangible progress towards European integration.

Landi emphasised that Denmark respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH.

She also called for respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional order of BiH.
