SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac believes that /former US Ambassador to BiH/ Michael Murphy has nothing left to do but fight losing political battles on social media, adding that his obsession with and hatred of Republika Srpska and the Serb people have long warranted proper medical observation and treatment.
"He simply cannot come to terms with the fact that Republika Srpska has not been destroyed and wiped off the map, as he had planned. That is why he continues to attack President Milorad Dodik, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, and the leadership of Republika Srpska. The political harm he inflicted on everyone in BiH was not enough for him," Košarac told SRNA, commenting on Murphy's social media post about the UN Security Council session.
Košarac added that Murphy's goal was clearly never to understand and respect the Dayton Agreement, but solely to politically discipline Republika Srpska, break its leadership and overturn the electoral will of the Serb people.
"In this undertaking, he had an entire chain of political allies and operatives – from the occupier Schmidt, through judicial structures and political Sarajevo, to part of the opposition in Republika Srpska. All of them, each in their own way, took part in attempts to politically settle accounts with the legitimately elected representatives of Republika Srpska," Košarac said.
Košarac added that Murphy now has a new problem – he cannot accept or come to terms with the fact that US President Donald Trump's administration has a completely different political approach from the one he advocated.
"It is high time Murphy understood that relations between the United States and Republika Srpska are determined by legitimate institutions and the current leadership, not by a former ambassador who, on behalf of who knows whom, continues to fight losing political battles," Košarac said.
