KYIV, JUNE 19 /SRNA-Reuters/ - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has seven days to remove equipment from his country that Russia has used in attacks on Ukraine, warning that Kyiv will take action if he fails to do so.
"What is the point of saying he /Lukashenko/ does not want to be in the war? Let him remove this equipment, let him switch it off. I think seven days will be enough for him to do it. If he does not do it, we will do it," Zelensky said at a press conference in Kyiv.
Zelensky said that signal relay stations are located in two regions of Belarus on the border with Ukraine, which Russian forces have used to help with steering during attacks on Ukrainian civilians.
Zelensky has repeatedly claimed in recent months that Russia plans to draw Minsk further into the war in Ukraine.
Last month, Lukashenko dismissed any notion that Minsk would be dragged further into the war but said that, together with Russia, it would defend itself in the event of aggression.
