WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 23 /SRNA-Reuters/ – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said peace negotiators from Ukraine, Russia and the United States had agreed to meet at the technical level in Abu Dhabi in the first half of November, expressing hope that a meeting of the countries' leaders would follow.

Zelensky said any peace agreement would require security guarantees for Ukraine and funding over the next 10 years to maintain the Ukrainian military.

"The plan is to hold the meeting in the first half of November, as soon as possible," Zelensky said in a video address to the Hudson Institute.

He stressed that much would depend on Russia, noting that a similar meeting scheduled for this month had not taken place.

Zelensky said he had spoken with US representatives Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff after their meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week.
