KYIV, JULY 21 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has been dismissed from his post by the decision of President Volodymyr Zelensky, announced Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko.

"Zelensky has dismissed Syrskyi," Goncharenko posted on Telegram.

Last week, Zelensky decided to change the composition of the Government once again, including the dismissal of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, which sparked protests across the country.

Fedorov stated that he resigned due to a long-standing conflict with Syrskyi.

The Guardian subsequently reported that the decision to dismiss Syrskyi had also been made, but that it is unclear who will replace him, noting that it would have to be someone who will not pose a political threat to Zelensky.
