VANCE: EUROPE RELIES ON USA, WHILE CRITICIZING PARTNERS

WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 22 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ – European countries depend on the United States in numerous ways, yet their leaders allow themselves to criticize their American partners, US Vice President James David Vance said.

"European countries depend on American technology, business and the military, while European political leaders like to criticize the American leaders on whom they depend so heavily," Vance told reporters, commenting on Europe's hostile approach toward Elon Musk's SpaceX.

He added that it was ironic that Europe lacked comparable technology to Starlink or Stargaze, yet continued to make decisions to wage a "regulatory and licensing war" against the US company.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Musk had ordered certain restrictions on the operation of Starshield, the military version of the Starlink satellite network, for the Ukrainian military because of attacks on Russian oil refineries.
