MOSCOW, OCTOBER 27 /SRNA/ – Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be guaranteed security if he comes to Moscow, Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov said.
Ushakov noted that Putin made the statement during a telephone conversation today with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Finnish President Alexander Stubb, TASS reported.
"Putin said that all the necessary conditions, including security, would be ensured for Zelenskyy if he came to Moscow," Ushakov stressed.
He added that Putin’s telephone conversation with Stubb and Støre had been thorough and substantive.
Ushakov said the conversation lasted 90 minutes and focused primarily on reaching an agreement to resume negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the USA.
According to Ushakov, Støre and Stubb told Putin that Zelenskyy was interested in holding direct talks with the Russian president.
Ushakov added that the conversation had prompted critical reactions in several European countries, describing this as highly symptomatic and saying it spoke volumes.
