TRUMP: I DO NOT NEED CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL FOR $5,000 PAYOUT

WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – US President Donald Trump said his administration would not need congressional approval for his proposal to pay $5,000 to adult Americans if Republicans control Congress following the midterm elections.

"Well, we think not," the US leader told CBS, responding to a question about whether Congress members would have to approve the measure.

He added that they believe they will do so if necessary.

Speaking yesterday at a Republican convention in Dallas, the US president promised a Trump dividend of $5,000 to every adult American if Republicans retain control of Congress in the November elections, under the condition that "people spend their money in the USA".

In the November 3 elections, Americans will elect one-third of the Senate and the entire House of Representatives.
