WASHINGTON, AUGUST 2 /SRNA/ – U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had called off an attack on Iran at the request of the Islamic Republic and other Middle Eastern countries, in accordance with the framework of a previously reached ceasefire agreement.
"This includes the immediate, full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the end of the Iranian nuclear threat. Based on this request, I agreed, for the benefit of the future of the world, as well as for the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to call off the attack, provided that I am able to quickly reach an agreement," Trump posted on the Truth Social network.
He noted that the USA was ready to launch an attack on Iran "with a force not seen since the Second World War" and added that America has Israel's support for such an operation.
"Everyone, get to work and get it done," the US president said.
