ISLAMABAD, JUNE 13 /SRNA–Reuters/ – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the United States and Iran have agreed on the framework of a peace agreement that is expected to end the months-long conflict in the Middle East, adding that the final text of the agreement has been finalized.
Sharif added that Pakistan is now preparing for the electronic signing of the agreement, which is expected within the next 24 hours, after which technical-level talks should be held next week.
An unnamed U.S. official said today that the agreement could be signed as early as tomorrow, with the signatories potentially being U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed this morning that amendments to the text are still possible, but that a framework agreement has already been reached.
