BERLIN, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Activists in Germany blocked the entrance to the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin's Hellersdorf district, the DPA news agency reported on Thursday, citing a university spokesperson.

Berlin police said on X that demonstrators had blocked the university entrance with furniture and other objects.

The police described the protests as "a spontaneous gathering," noting that only the main entrance is currently blocked, and the building can still be accessed through a side one.

Around 100 students are taking part in the protest.

The university spokesperson did not specify the students' demands, saying only that the action was "a show of solidarity with protesters in France".

The University of Berlin is the third university in Germany to be blocked in the last two days, and these actions are believed to be linked to larger demonstrations by young people planned for Saturday, October 31.
