BUDAPEST DOES NOT SEE KYIV IN THE EU BY 2030

BUDAPEST, NOVEMBER 5 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – Hungary believes it is unrealistic for Ukraine to join the EU by 2030, Foreign Minister Anita Orban said.

"If we are talking about a specific date and whether we think it is realistic, no, it is not realistic," Orban said at a news conference.

She added that Hungary respected a merit-based approach to admitting new EU members but did not support a fast-track process, since a number of candidate countries had already been in the accession process for more than 10 years.
