WASHINGTON, MAY 27 /SRNA/ - The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration /NASA/ plans to establish a lunar base by 2032, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said.
He presented the plan at a press conference.
According to the plan, the first phase will last until 2029 and will send three spacecraft to the Moon - with or without crew - to conduct experiments and ensure reliable access to the lunar surface.
During the second phase, which will last until 2032, NASA plans to build temporary and permanent infrastructure on the surface of the Moon, and to establish a permanent presence on the Earth's satellite, TASS reported.
The third phase will begin in 2032 and will be focused on implementing a plan to establish a permanent presence on the Moon, with rotating crews.
