BRATISLAVA, SEPTEMBER 10 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar criticized the EU’s migration policy today, saying that the lack of immigration regulations is turning human trafficking to Europe into a profession.

“Everything indicates that human trafficking is now becoming a profession in Europe. Smugglers simply choose the path of least resistance. That is precisely why there can be no easing of regulations in Hungary, not even to the slightest degree,” Magyar stressed.

Stressing that Hungary had refused to join the EU’s new Migration and Asylum Pact, Magyar said that smugglers know that it is not worth trying their luck there.

According to him, the agreement, which entered into force in June, has failed to achieve its objective of regulating migration, and the crisis in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta could serve as a warning to the entire EU that it is heading in the wrong direction.
