TEHRAN, SEPTEMBER 13 /SRNA-Reuters/ – An Iranian commercial ship was hit off the southern coast of Iran early this morning, killing one person and injuring three others, Iranian state media reported, citing the governor of Qeshm County.
The ship was reportedly hit near Qeshm Island of the same name.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations /UKMTO/ said it had received a report that a vessel was struck by a projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The extent of the damage and the condition of the crew were not immediately known, UKMTO said.
There was no immediate information on who was behind the attack.
