PARIS, OCTOBER 3 /SRNA/ - Several hundred people gathered in central Paris to protest against further aid to Ukraine and demand France’s withdrawal from the European Union and NATO, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
The protest, called by Florian Philippot, leader of the right-wing French Patriots party and a presidential candidate, is being held at Place du Palais-Royal in central Paris.
Demonstrators are carrying signs reading: "French President, we will not die for Ukraine," "Macron, get out" and "Support Frexit."
"Living, not merely surviving, living freely and in peace - that is our message. There are serious political decisions behind this. We must withdraw from the EU, withdraw from NATO, stop financing the war in Ukraine and stop sending weapons to Kyiv," Philippot told reporters at the event.
He said that the funds the French authorities send to Kyiv should instead be used to reduce fuel taxes in France.
