HEGSETH: THE UNITED STATES IS READY FOR NEW STRIKES ON IRAN

WASHINGTON, MAY 30 /SRNA/ - US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that the US is ready to launch strikes on Iran again if an agreement is not reached.

Hegseth said that the US is "more than capable" of such an option and that its weapons stockpiles are "more than sufficient," emphasizing that the country is in a "very good position."

He added that the US has not turned its back on the Asia-Pacific region despite the ongoing conflict with Iran.

"We can do two things at once. We are strengthening our defense industrial base so that we can soon produce two, three, or four times more ammunition," said Hegseth.

He added that US President Donald Trump wants to reach a "big deal" that would ensure Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.
