MOSCOW, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ - Russia does not consider the identity of the European negotiator important; what matters is the negotiator’s position, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said.
"This is not even a secondary or tertiary issue - it has no fundamental significance. Of course, Russian President Vladimir Putin has already indicated who could actually play a positive role, for quite understandable reasons," Grushko said.
He stressed that the key issue was the position the negotiator would present during the talks, provided the European Union allows the negotiator to take part, RIA Novosti reported.
