GERMAN PROSECUTORS BELIEVE KYIV WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE NORD STREAM SABOTAGE

MOSCOW, JULY 24 /SRNA/ - German prosecutors believe that the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines was carried out on the instructions of Ukrainian state agencies, defense lawyer Nicola Canestrini said.

"The indictment states that there are sufficient grounds to suspect that the acts of sabotage were carried out on the instructions and under the direction of Ukrainian state agencies," the lawyer said in a statement, adding that the defense fully disputes the accusation.

According to him, Germany withheld from Italy its theory that Ukrainian government agencies were involved in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

"In addition, Sergei Kuznetsov, who is suspected of carrying out the 2022 terrorist attack on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, has been charged with a war crime," Canestrini said.
